Overview
The International Committee
on Aeronautical Fatigue (ICAF) was formed in 1952 in response to growing
concerns regarding fatigue problems in metal aircraft structures.
The two stated aims of the
ICAF are to encourage contacts between people actively engaged in aircraft
fatigue problems and to exchange information concerning aeronautical fatigue
knowledge.
Stehlin Engineering Contribution to
ICAF 2003
Stehlin Engineering has been selected to write a paper and hold a poster presentation
during the ICAF 2003.
This paper presents a
method developed by Thierry Stehlin to perform
fatigue analysis of bolted and riveted connections in a very efficient way
using the Finite Element Method.
